Interview with Academic Taki Fiti, President of MANU

Shaded by the politics of whether the economy survives only by state infusion. Three decades of struggle for more meaningful economic growth that all citizens will experience. Limited capacity of the economy or of ruling elites – why has the country failed to stand up? Prespa agreement, referendum, constitutional changes, Brussels fiasco. Has MANU, the highest scientific institution, the brain core, silenced the historical changes in the country? Who is Goce Delchev? How much can MANU help in defending historical facts but also in the process of clearing historical lies without offending or hurting the sense of nationality. Some academics have strongly criticized that Macedonia has taken the lead, with a message, to expel the EU from Macedonia. Others with the opposite view. What about the Brussels fiasco? Do we have an economic compass, where and how do we go about whether early elections will bring political calm or a political storm? Answers from Academician Taki Fiti, President of MANU.
