Honeyland competes for two Oscar nominations
“HoneyLand” came up with a nomination for not one, but two Oscars.
The American Film Academy has announced the final list of films that will compete for an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary and Best Foreign Film, and “Honeymoon” has both.
The names of the five nominees will be announced on January 7, and the 92nd Oscars will be on February 9.
The shortlist for best documentary features another 14 titles, including “For Alone”, which recently won “Honeymoon” at the European Film Awards in Berlin.
In the category of Best Foreign Film, Honeycomb has nine other nominee competitors, including Cannes winner Parasite, Pedro Almodovar’s “Pain and Glory” and “The Curse”, which also received a Golden Globe nomination.
